Disc Golf Speed and Spin

Measured from over 75,000 throws from hundreds of disc golfers. Drag the orange dot to see how your numbers compare.

50%
of players spin it less than 1,063 rpm
Dead middle of the pack.

What these numbers mean

For each player I averaged their throws between their own 80th and 95th percentile. So it isn't a single lucky drive and it isn't a warmup toss. It's what you can actually repeat when you're going after it.

What's the green band? (Advance ratio)

Advance ratio is your spin and your speed expressed as a single number: how fast the rim is travelling compared to how fast the whole disc is travelling. A disc rolling along the ground is exactly 1.0, because the rim and the disc move together. A thrown disc is roughly half that.
